extra curricular activities
A hobby can be absolutely anything you put your mind to, as long as you love doing it.
A number of hobbies keep me entertained for most part of the day. Coin collection, people watching (yes it is a hobby) and origami. If anyone is wondering how a person could have hobbies in such diverse fields, well to them I say one thing- "Thats just who I am!!"
From a very young age, I have been amazed as to how one could possibly make such beautiful and intricate designs with... 'just a sheet of paper'. Origami is the art of folding paper in different directions in such a way that it turns out to be something so much more than 'just a sheet of paper', but a beautiful intricately designed work of art. Not only is origami fun, it has been proved that one who does a lot of origami, is a person who is less likely to get arthritis. Apart from which, origami kind of boosts my self confidence and creativity, as different folds can create different art. Origami being a 17th century creation, has evolved into 'modern art', and that does not make me proud to say that I cannot brag about my mediocre origami skills. But then again, whats a hobby if doesn't cause you any relief? That is exactly what origami does to me. When my mind is idle, it turns into the the 'origami' workshop. This is what one can safely call... a good kind of addiction.
Ever since I was a little girl, my father has been the type to travel a lot. This was one of the reasons I started collecting coins. When my father would come back from a different country, he would give me a coin/s which I would keep in a small box. Over the years, I have a vast collection of coins, even antique pieces! People have even offered to buy off some of the coins that I own, but this being a hobby that has a lot of emotion attached to it, I have never even given selling the coins away for a good price a thought.
Another unusual "hobby" of mine is people watching. For those who do not know what exactly this hobby is, people watching is when one goes to a public area and observes people and their interactions. This helps me pick up lot about people and expressions. Creepy I know but I enjoy this a lot.
Apart from these, the normal post teenage hobbies are always on the plate. When it comes to wasting time creatively, one can never forget the internet. For me, the internet has always been my best friend. When I have nothing much to do, I write my other blog, 214 online. Which has a number of poems and stories. Also, I love playing with my dog and turtles and feeding other dogs on the streets. TV, book reading and looking up new words are also things I love to do during my spare time. And though they are not much of a hobby, these things make me both peaceful and happy.

BUSINESS ANALYTICS: Online advertising
ABSTRACT
Simply, the term online marketing refers to using the power of Internet advertising to generate a response from your audience. Also known as Internet marketing or web marketing, online marketing is used by companies selling goods and services directly to consumers as well as those who operate in the business-to-business sphere. Online marketing offers several benefits. It's convenient, affordable, and provides the opportunity for companies to track campaign results. Internet marketing allows even the smallest company to compete in a global marketplace.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media sites include Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+. Social media marketing utilises these social networking websites as a marketing tool. The goal is to produce content that users will share with their social network to help a company increase brand exposure and broaden customer reach. One of the key components of social media marketing is social media optimisation. This is a strategy for drawing new and unique visitors to a website, either by adding social media links to content, such as RSS feeds and sharing buttons, or by promoting activity through social media by updating statuses or tweets.
Social media enables a business to get direct feedback from customers. This interactivity gives customers the opportunity to ask questions or voice complaints and feel they are being heard. The other thing about social media is that it creates a “warm” database of people to whom you can market special offers and promotions.
COMPANY PROFILE
In the year 2011, Mr. Vishwadeep Kuila, an advertising and marketing professional with over two decades of experience with multinational agencies and clients, who also frequently contributes to "The Business Line" said- " Nothing gets done till you Dirty your hands" and started a market outsourcing company, "Brand Vectors". The company works as an outsourced marketing arm when a consumer brand or Business-
to-Business (B2B) does not have a marketing strategy of its own.
Unlike the other traditional consulting agencies, the company does not stop with just advising their clients as to what they have to be doing and how, but they work and take on the actual execution of marketing tasks. Being an outsourced company, the work of Brand vectors could range from handling internal stakeholders as well as external stakeholders.
Internal stake holders mostly are the individuals who reside inside the company, as board members, executives, managers, employees, and trade unions and who benefit directly from their contributions to the growth of the company, and when it comes to the work that is done for these internal stakeholders, Brand Vectors deals with their finance, purchase, R&D, sourcing and so on. On the other hand, when it comes to external stakeholders, they are the individuals who are not directly a part of that company. External stakeholders of a business may include shareholders, customers, suppliers, political connections, and other businesses in the same or similar industries. The company works with media and ad agencies, packaging, activation, sales consult and so on.
The Brand Vectors team works with the senior management of companies that reach out to them, and work towards fixing problems using tactics and long term strategies. The company has two verticals; one, which concentrates on online, focused companies and the other, which deals with traditional offline companies, (FMCG) etc. Apart from this, the company has a third division, which deals with selling of space in airports for various kinds of adverts.
Brand Vectors as the name suggests, is in the business of taking the client’s brands from its current position to the desired position. In the process, it offers the entire range of outsourced marketing services that help in taking the client’s brands to the desired position. The company builds brands through hands on execution. In a short time span of two years, Brand Vectors has entered into long-term commitments with a number of clients. While the economy is booming and there is increased need for skilled manpower at the CMO level, this resource is either scarce or too expensive. This is where Brand Vectors comes into the play. They do marketing outsourcing to suit their customers needs. Brand Vectors offers an entire gamut of services. Just as the marketing department of an organization connects the dots, fills in the missing pieces and bridges all the gaps – of course, apart from the key areas of communication – Brand Vectors would be just like a marketing department – but outsourced.
COMPANIES COMPETITION
Bluestone.com, blueNile, Caratlane.com and James Allen are the biggest competitions for the client, as they are dominant in the online diamond selling market, and also have a number of years of experience as to what would attract more and more customers. Also, these companies have already set a strong base which helps them build castles in the air while their feet have grown roots into the ground. They are well established and have no idea of backing off for the fresh sites which are coming up. On the other hand, the client also has a number of benefits over its competition. The client, being a new bee, has a number of fresh ideas and will break free from monotony, and also will have a number of various different designs which could attract bored online shoppers who feel like they have seen it all online.
